Abyan Governors Office Releases Official Biography of Colonel Karda Following His Appointment as Security Chief

The newly appointed acting director-general of Abyan Governorate police Colonel Karda born on January 1 1979 holds elite academic and tactical credentials that position him as a prominent legal specialist within the country’s law enforcement matrix.

According to the official biography of Colonel Karda he earned a Master’s degree with honors in law and continues his advanced postgraduate studies as a doctoral researcher in the same discipline having graduated from the Police College for university degree holders in the class of 2014 which equipped him with an extensive judicial framework to fortify field operations and protect public liberties.

The newly commissioned commander possesses over two decades of institutional experience within the Ministry of Interior managing intricate criminal investigations spearheading strategic planning and directing complex security files with high efficiency.

His professional trajectory includes a series of senior leadership posts beginning as director of operations for the Sixth District in 2005 followed by chief of criminal investigations in 2008 and head of the interrogation department in 2010 before managing the entire Criminal Investigation Department in 2012.

He subsequently transitioned to serve as deputy director of the Sheikh Othman police department in 2016 before executing duties as acting director of Sheikh Othman police in 2017 after which he was appointed assistant director-general of Abyan security in 2018 and has maintained his post as deputy director-general of the governorate’s security since 2020.

His specialized training includes counter-terrorism anti-narcotics management and intelligence gathering alongside earning a certificate of proficiency in the English language and dual computer science certifications from the University of Aden.
